Streb Trapeze and Acrobatics

Streb Dancer Educator, Jackie, teaching Abraham's "Kid Action" acrobatics class

Abraham took a running start, then practiced running on walls

They raise this bar mechanically, with all the little 5 year olds holding on for dear life, watching each other to see who can hold on the longest and not drop. Abraham dropped among the first, his first few times. Then, he looked carefully at the bar apparatus and found a smaller bar, titled diagonally, that he could hold onto longer. He held on so long that his assistant teacher and Griffin started spotting him and offering support. Boom won! The last one holding.
Don't let go Abraham!
Griffin steeling himself for the jump, then trapeze swing. Breathe, Grif, breathe!

Alice's blog: First, we climb up a long narrow ladder to do the trapeze. Then, we let a guy clip us onto a rope. When that is finished, we jump out and hold onto the trapeze, but our feet are still on the platform. When they say "Ready," we bend our knees. When they say "Hup," we let our feet drop from the platform and hang onto the trapeze. Then we do our position. It's like flying in the air!

Sometimes, we get caught by a person on another trapeze.
