Boom's 5th Birthday!

Breakfast in Bed!! A birthday tradition

Blow out the candles!

Laura took our family picture for the breakfast in bed moment

Theo and Leo

Max-y!

Avi!

A warm father-son moment

Becca, dedicated mom she is, helping Gus put together his legos, for Boom's Lego Scavenger Hunt party. Becca brought all her 3 kids to our party, pregnant and with a broken ankle, coming by subway! That's one dedicated "Alpaca", as Boom called her when he was young (Alpaca is short for Aunt Becca)

Jude!
Grif, happy anywhere, with Jack by his side, even with hordes of annoying 5 year old boys buzzing around him

Cuz Huntie!

And, the private girl table, tucked away on the side, away from all those Y chromosomes

Radley, listening carefully to Ken's story of getting elbowed to the ground in his weekly NYC basketball game

God, it's good to have my best peeps back in my home again! Danielle and Liz here. Both passionate, artistic women.

And, the competing Abraham god-parents - Alexis in middle and Seth on right. They dueled it out to see who could get Boom the biggest gift. No one can beat the boom boom pow of Lex's birthday gifts! Soooo good to be back with these special friends too. I secretly took this time to have an old-fashioned family party at our home, with all siblings and parents staying the entire time, to bring warmth and cheer into our home since I missed all these friends so much this past year. And, having older children, I knew these parties in our home would be a thing of the past soon, for Abraham, moving onto smaller, more intimate parties eventually, like his older siblings have done.

Click HERE for us all singing Happy Birthday to Abraham!

Our typical Brooklyn Blackout cake, this time served beforehand by gumbo for the parents!

Danielle does the honors, birthday party thrower-extraordinaire!

Papa got Boom the best birthday gift - a shoe polishing kit!

Can you believe it??? Boom got yet another birthday party, this time in LI at Nanny and Papa's home! With LI relatives and a lego cake.

Oh my gosh, and yet another birthday party at his class this time! And, yes, that's fresh fruit, not cupcakes, that we shared with his friends. We got some initial pushback then they devoured each and every piece, like 5 year old piranhas.
