| Alice planned this party a year ago in Asia. Then, 6 months ago, on a hike through the Nepalese Himalayas, she closed her birthday deal with me then proceeded to separately close the deal with Ken. Her plan: A full-day birthday party at Nanny and Papa's in Long Island, with at least one friend to spend the night, as her first slumber birthday party. Her meticulous planning was realized, and she was exhausted, grumpy, but very very happy at the end of the party. |

| Cousin Claudia came over on the Port Jeff ferry from Conneticut. She was very brave and did a sleepover with Alice for her birthday party. |

| Talk about brave! Amelia was barely skating and falling down loads at the start of the skating, and by the end, she was zipping around by herself. |

| This is why Alice knew Nanny and Papa's would be the perfect place for her party to unfold with perfection. Nanny and Papa asked for her every wish for the party then reported back to her by phone and email in advance, then delivered every promise with love. | Amelia's little brother is allergic to nuts, and she comes over daily asking for nutella and apples from us, since it's verbotten at her home. I'm convinced she's a nutella addict since it's taboo. She used nutella as her icing. |

| Claudia stayed for the slumber party, Phase 7. When they woke up in the morning, they were pampered with a little bed in front of the fire. Getting spoiled by Nanny and Papa on her birthday was a brilliant choice by Alice! |

Alice's blog: I really liked making cup cakes, going ice skating, and going to Fun 4 All. I really like making and eating the cupcakes. My friends are Claudia, Gracie, Amelia, and me. I love all of them, especially me (haha!). When I got sushi before seeing Spiderman on Broadway, it was hard to try new things because I was so excited about seeing Spiderman. I thought it would not be so scary, but it really was scary, big and loud. At school, I brought in Brownies and everyone sang Happy Birthday, I couldn't get the smile off my face, and Mom and Dad took a million pictures! Click HERE to see Alice's class birthday party.
